The twelve students participating in Living Memories are final-semester undergraduates in the Media Program of the School of Applied Communication.  The students have strengths in film, television and radio production and a particular interest in documentary.

The students’ work on Living Memories constitutes their course-work for a subject called Production Project 2, in a studio class directed by lecturer and film-maker David Carlin.  Other Production Project 2 studio classes in 2008, led by different lecturers, have produced a community TV pilot, a suite of short films and a radio program commissioned by ABC Radio National’s Night Air program.

The RMIT Media Program, in the School of Applied Communications, as stated on its website: ‘provides an exciting approach to educating the next generation of creative media makers. Contemporary media professionals are creative, multi-skilled communicators able to deliver innovative content for a wide range of new and existing platforms, from film, television and radio to mobile media and the web. Graduates are fluent with technology and the evolving media environment.’
